Foxhound Patriot Pen Box Set

Inspired by FOX from the Metal Gear series of video games, specifically the events in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, this pen offers a subtle (or not-so-subtle?) tongue-in-cheek reference to the events at the end of Snake Eater.

The orange FOX logo is clear cast in durable, shiny resin on the lower portion of the pen with a blend of metallic gray and black resin on the upper body of the pen echoing the camouflage background below.

The metallic portions of the pen sport a rich, durable antique pewter plating with a large clip featuring the American Flag and an eagle at the top of the clip. The center band has the words "God Bless America" ringing the band. The top cap has laurels surrounding "USA" at the very top of the cap. A vertical line pattern at the top and bottom of the pen echo the Federalist style of architecture in Washington.

This pen refill is extended and retracted via a smooth twist mechanism in the center. Should you like to swap refills, the pen unscrews from the center for easy access to the ink cartridge.

Included with the pen is a matched handmade storage and display box, made of contrasting Maple and African Mahogany woods. The box echoes the FOX logo on the top of the lid and features the health and stamina bars from Snake Eater on the inside lid. A groove is cut to accept the pen and showcase the wood, and a smaller groove holds an extra Parker-style ink refill. A brass latch and hinges hold the box securely closed when not in use.

This pen accepts a standard Parker-style ink refill, including Schmidt EasyFlow cartridges. This pen is not overly long, but it is on the heavier side. If you prefer heftier-feeling pens in the hand, this is the pen for you!
