This handmade wooden rollerball pen is constructed from Australian Mallee Burl wood - prized for its exceptional figure and grain. The wood has been stabilized, turned, and carefully polished to a subtle luster. It feels exceptionally smooth in the hand and looks luxurious.

Hardware and Performance

The pen hardware features a classy antique silver plating and a knurled center band, perfect for more tactile writers. The pen is postable; the cap can screw onto the back of the pen when in use so it's not rolling around on your desk (or getting batted by a cat). 

The pen is refillable and accepts standard rollerball ink cartridges. The pen comes with a Schmidt 888 F rollerball ink cartridge already installed and ready to write!

The pen has been finished with a durable cyanoacrylate finish and then buffed to a subtle shine; this offers the benefits of a CA finish while preserving the timeless look of the wood.

This is a longer, weightier pen. While it could be tucked into a bag, this pen is better suited to a place of authority on your desk.

Clearance

This pen features a very small hairline crack where the metal of the nib portion of the pen meets the wood (or alternatively, just below the center band when the pen is capped and closed). The crack is about 0.25" long and does not affect the usability of the pen. It can be felt if you run a fingernail across it, but cannot be felt while writing.
