Maple and Walnut Wood Patterned Rocket Pen | Gold Plating

This handmade maple and walnut wood patterned rocket pen is constructed of little slices of solid walnut and maple woods, all painstakingly assembled together to create the pattern you see here! Segmented pen blanks are typically created for larger pen bodies, but this short and slender rocket-style pen is big on style!

The pen hardware features warm gold plating on both the clip and nib portion of the pen, accenting the warmth of the wood. The pen is refillable and accepts a Cross-style ink refill, and comes with a Cross-style ink refill already installed and ready to use. The ink refill is extended and retracted via a smooth twist mechanism from the tip of the pen.

The pen has first been finished with an oil finish to enhance the grain, then top-coated with a cyanoacrylate finish and buffed down to a matte final finish. This provides the durability of a CA finish, but preserves the look and feel of a wooden pen.

This pen is on the shorter side for handmade pens and has a slender profile. It could very easily stow away unobtrusively into a purse, bag, backpack, briefcase, or drawer.
