Red and White Power Up Tec Pen and Box Set

Inspired by the colors from the power-up mushrooms from the Mario series of video games, this red and white geometrically-patterned resin ballpoint pen is an attention-grabber! Very small slices of iridescent black, white, and ruby red resin are combined to create the "wedge" pattern along the body of this stout ballpoint pen. Even the white slices have a small amount of metallic fleck to better catch the light.

The metallic portions of the pen sport a very shiny, durable chrome plating with a beefy clip. The "click" mechanism of this pen is a bolt action; the pen refill is retracted and advanced from the bolt mechanism on the side of the pen. The feel of the bolt mechanism is on the stiffer side, offering a nice resistance when the pen is actuated. 

This pen has another feature: the top cap can be replaced with a rubber stylus cap! The stylus cap will work on electronic devices, or if you don't prefer the stylus cap, it can be swapped to a flat, matching metallic cap. Both options are included with this pen, and can be swapped by simply screwing/unscrewing the desired cap selection. Examples of each style are shown on this pen.

Included with the pen is a matched handmade storage and display box, made of a single piece of African Mahogany wood. The box features a design of the power-up mushroom on the top lid. The inside of the lid has a '?' box, a few Mario-themed coins, and a repeat of the power-up mushroom (like it was fleeing from the '?' box along the top of the groove). A brass latch and hinges hold the box securely closed when not in use. A large groove holds the pen in place, while a smaller groove holds an extra Parker-style ink refill (no more getting lost in your desk drawers!). A small circular cutout holds the extra cap for the Tec-style pen; it can fit both the flat cap and the stylus cap (no more losing that in your desk drawers either!).

This pen accepts a standard Parker-style ink refill, including Schmidt EasyFlow cartridges. This pen is not overly long, but it is on the heavier side. If you prefer heftier-feeling pens in the hand, this is the pen for you!
